I know that the CIA was interrogating people on tape. I know they were using “enhanced interrogation measures”. I know the CIA destroyed the tapes.
Why?
Because they have admitted to all three practices.
Now, the only question that remains is “why did they do it?”
Ostensibly, according to General Michael Hayden, the Director of Central Intelligence, it was to protect the identity of the individuals performing the tortu… um… “enhanced interrogation measures.” But the timing of the destruction of the tapes is interesting…
What were they trying to cover up? The identities of the people committing the acts? If so, for what purposes?
Every time I believe this administration has sunk to its lowest point, they still find another sub-basement to which they can walk down.
