The indecision of the governmental authorities, of the present Governing body, with respect to a final destiny and use of the earth, has caused that thousands of farmers have taken the initiative to occupy state earth in all the country, without hoping by the legislative proceedings that it regulates this indefinite situation.

With the disappearance of massive uses in agriculture, caused by the previous government, although with low wages, it gave to the impression of certain security of life for the families farmers.

The uncertainty in the implementation of a new organizational structure, in the farming sector, that contemplates or defines the present situation of the old cooperatives of farming production (CPA) and the Basic Units of Producción Cooperativa (UBPC) maintain in legal limb the farmers, who do not have access to a direct use at the moment.

The sector deprived in agriculture on the one hand, does not abre to step, limited by the lack of resources and suitable financings while the rest of earth, stay into the hands of the State, that it does not find exit between the privatization and the claims of properties, always hoping by the constitution of the Earth Court.

All these bureaucratic questions and until of legal order in many cases, have certain justification, but those that cannot hope are the farmers, that they do not have use nor a food plate that to take to the table. For that reason, many of them have decided to take earth by their account, where the life expectancy is at least in its hands.

Nevertheless, the proprietor reaction old has not been made hope, who while the earth stay into the hands of the state, waits with calm, an unequivocal security, that their goods well were preserved. But that its patrimony, becomes I graze of one apparent work of social justice, are not prepared to tolerate.  

Understood in agrarian questions and farmers in Cuba, they assure that it enters more dilates the process of legalization of the earth possession, more difficult will be its solution, since every day they will be arising new interests, like is the added value, that these farmers inflict to him to their terruños, that today are occupying by their account.

 

The National Alliance of Independent Agriculturists of Cuba, that has become the greater organization of the Cuban peasantry, has made a call urgent, to try to solve the problem. But with solutions, that later do not jeopardize the true interests of our rural community.

A spokesman of the ANAIC said: “Not we can to allow, that returns to take needs from our farmers, like flag of causes that not him goes to solve his problems, Everything not solves with piece of earth, that without resources and to good is going it market to turn into a subsistence producer, without being able to as much compete with producers cooperative majors and centers that participate, directly in the market, like in the organized, directed and specialized commercialization�

“Our social justice is different, we must begin to respect all the liberties, including the property right, but it is necessary to foment the real property, not like an unreal political play, with promises of equitable distribution, but with equality of possibilities and rights�

“The agrarian infrastructure must be under the premise to guarantee a safe source of income for the rural population, does not concern the way to obtain it, whenever the human dignity makes sure. But either we cannot to aspire to the Earth like simple piñata, has to be the Earth investment of individual, where it is going to put all their effort and intelligence, to do to produce it, otherwise will be indirect labor cost more and when it squanders the natural resources that finds in her, leaves without responsibility some�
