Importance of the critical reflection of the educational practice like necessary tool for the change.

To reflect on educational practice in our country acquires diverse shades in the measurement that we tied to the word “change�, although this reflection is for the sake of improving it. “The actually educational change also appears difficult, because the teachers have internalizado who all change in teaching must be promoted from the cupola of power� .1

The triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, and the later laws that went away implementing in the educational system, together with the formation comunista.2 of the new generation ruined the permanence in the country of religious schools, as the “Catholic University of Santo Thomas de Villanueva� and the centers “Lasallistas� (these last ones returned to the Island in 1989), whose cloisters of professors managed to cultivate in values and of orienting the educational practice in the way of the questioning and the investigation, to several generations of students. Starting off of these premises, and all the efforts and innovations of the country to leave to the rescue of the educational system, I must indicate that it is indeed actually educational where it is the axis for the profit of “being a good professor�.

The present crisis of values that is observed in many of the students must indeed to the deterioration and the years of abandonment of this so important ministry, but on all the things by the imposition of slogans, directed dogmas and principles to maintain “the socialist� character of the revolution.

A good example than I speak is the father Felix Varela who when arriving at the Seminary of San Carlos finds that in the chair of Philosophy there was no more language than the Latin and reigned the scholastic philosophy by law, reason why she believed opportune to initiate the change, being started off to understand to “Demonstration�,3 like the best one of the philosophies since she looked for the truth in the remote causes of the errors. Assuming that the conception of the education was based in an ethical problem, esthetic, social and political.

The day to day in the classroom, the overcoming, the interrelation with the students and other professors of the school, the family and the society, etc. is, them taking to perfect the educational practice so that they can acquire the abilities and methods necessary to provide his knowledge with the greater effectiveness within the classroom, but not of a dogmatic form, but urging the students to the critic and the reflection.

We must direct our education to avoid that the students are put under of passive form the authority of the teacher and accept like a dogma any criterion, since this, together with the conception of the memorization as the highest intellectual profit nullifies the capacity to learn the students and denies the possibility of overcoming of the teacher, since this does not feel the necessity to much less investigate or to redesign its educational practice in the continuous search of its improvement and in the transformation of the school.

Jose Agustín Horseman, thought that the best one of the forms was “learning of all�, developing perhaps an eclectic study, stops within the set, to take necesario.4
