They decide to celebrate I Congress of Independent Farmers in Cuba

The Working Party Farmer, represented by Brown Alberto and the Cuban Rural Civic Project, represented by their Chief of a main directorate, Pedro Antonio Alonso Perez during a meeting conducted the past 4 of November in Manzanillo, municipality of the Granma province, signed a collaboration agreement, where it was fixed for next day 5 of May of the 2009, the celebration of the I Congress of Independent Farmers in Cuba in the 12 greeting to anniversary of the constitution of the first independent cooperative “Transition�.

In the encounter also they were present Arthur Aryan Go'mez, by the Investigation and Training center Agrícolas and Pedro Carballosa, president of the National Alliance of Independent Agriculturists of Cuba and of the independent cooperative “Transición�.

The congress, which will be realized through communications will allow to visualize a series of initiatives and strategies that reflect the true one to feel of the Cuban peasantry and its intention to look for solution the productive crisis that crosses the agricultural sector and the problems rulares of the country.

The line of work will be to impose to the government of the necessity of delivery of earth in property the farmers, who are fulfilled in spirit and letter the law of the Agrarian Reformation.

The restoration of the market farmer, the freedom of direct market of the producers and culture, without the government like intermediary.

The granting of credits through direct Bank, without the National Association of Agricultores Pequeños mediates (ANAP).

To show the interest that has the Cuban independent farmers who include themselves to them in the commercial agreement with the United States, under the same prerogatives and conditions of purchase that the Government enjoys Cuban.

Like enfrenar the rural poverty from the final results of the Inventory of the Rural Poverty that will conclude for that date the Cuba Chapter of the Latin American Federation of Mujeres Rurales (FLAMUR)

The I Congress of Congress of Independent Farmers of Cuba will be sponsored by the Working Party Farmer and the organizations who integrate the Cuban Rural Civic Project: National alliance of Independent Agriculturists of Cuba, National Center of Studies and Agricultural Investigations, Latin American Federation of Rural Women (Cuba Chapter) and the Union of Rural Young people.
