Everything seemed perfect, the Cuban official radio announced that our town would pay a worthy tribute to the North American town in occasion to celebrate the 232 anniversary of its Declaration of Independence. A Gallic tribute would be celebrated at night to the 9:00, in the Auditorium of the capital theater Amadeo Roldán, with the participation of recognized musical Cuban of different generations that would give the best thing of himself.

In several provinces of the country, many were those that looked for the necessary resources laboriously, at the same time as they prepared his properties to travel to the “capital of all the Cubans.  Some, more perhaps intensified or with better possibilities had made economic it days ahead. Nevertheless another group of men and women - although very worthy they could not participate in the finery of the Amadeo Roldán, but they were invited to celebrate the Declaration of Independence of the United States, in the residence of Mr. Michael Parmly, mission leader of the Office of interests of the United States in Cuba.
