SANTIAGO OF CUBA, 9 of June of 2009 (www.miamiprogressive.com) According to the Hebrew religion, the Mesías will redeem and free the town of Israel, but for ours - at least in the province of Santiago of Cuba - the providence seems to have assigned to us to a new First Secretary of the Communist Party, that according to the popular expression with their arrival and intervention would be solved the great problems that today consume the hopes of their settlers.

The member of the Central Committee of the Party, Lazaro Espósito Canto, has imposed a work dynamics to which apparently the civil servants of the Party were not customary and of the Popular Power in the province and the encounter with the different factors from the administration of the State in each municipality they have been possible to listen by radio and to read although of a form summarized in newspapers.

The First Secretary of the Party Lazaro Espósito moved until From Soria Palm, municipality of the province of Santiago of Cuba, with the aim of continuing evaluating the development of the programs of this municipality. A telephone contact with Tania Montoya Vázquez, Territorial Delegate of the Party by the Christian Democratic Unit and handcuffs of the political prisoner Raudel Burette indicated: “The Town has thrown itself for the street, say that it is Mecías of the 21st century, it has met in several places with the town and people have not stopped to give complaints them of all type, said to him that those products that he saw in the streets were product of their visit, because usually it was not thus�

According to this activist informed into Human rights, the same First Secretary declared to be astonished to see so many people asking speak personally with him, because at no moment the citizens of From Soria Palm, wanted to raise his complaints and restlessness to the Commissions of Work that previously were created, reason for which raised that although it must remain three days in that municipality, will take care of all the settlers ask for that it, but with discipline. To the closing of our note the news that circulated it would speak for all the inhabitants of this municipality in the Martí park of that locality.

The search of a hope on the part of the citizens is comprehensible and without another alternative represents that it they look for in the own authorities the solution its problems, without considering that are the same of always, although change of face. The appointment of Lazaro Espósito, like First Secretary of the Party in the province of Santiago of Cuba, the past 9 of April has made think the people, that he can change the things, if had knowledge at least than it is happening in each place.

The First Secretary of the Party, Espósito also has contributed with those expectations, taking care of complaints of the population directly, something that makes win in popularity, but that is very risky in the systems of unique leader, personages as Captain Pancho (Francisco González) were separated of its position like First Secretary of municipality II In front, due to its great popularity. Similarly Willy Hodge like First Secretary of the Party in the province of Guantánamo was replaced, by its great power of personal call, demonstrated in the “combatant marches� of 1980.
