Our opposition must change

 SANTIAGO OF CUBA - May 20, the 2009 (www.aplopess.com) With the passage of the years and time that we took trying to restore a State of Rights in our country, we are made strong much more from all the points of view. In my particular case, I have not managed to overcome the barrier of the fear, but the fact that she is scared, like my family, does not disable to me to follow with my work for the democracy, something that treatment to do every day with more professionalism.

I have all the conviction of the world, that the excess of fear and the fear in himself, are the fundamental psychological tools of the regime, therefore it is necessary to assume the cost and the responsibility of the cause with entereza and integrity, conscious that when to the Security of the State gives the desire him, by the most insignificant reason for the world, they make a cause to you and they put 20 years to you of jail, thanks to God that to the Geriatrical Nomenclature it does not have left as much time.

They know of my work like independent journalist, than I represent in this part of the country, often forgotten by others. Without no scruple they monitor my telephone, they intercept the calls of whichever personalities of the world are interested to know my denunciations and they make difficult or they interfere with the programs for Martí Radio, Radio Republic, Canada Radio the International, etc. to me.

The sacrifice is much, but the spirit comforts itself when he receives recognition by your work. To thus he happened me when I received the visit of two diplomats of the European Union house, of the warm welcome of my colleagues when I travel to the capital or when I visit our vestibule of Internet www.miamiprogressive.com and see reflected our daily effort, that is being congratulated with the view of readers of so distant countries and as different cultures as those that appear in the map of visitors.

I know that my preparation and political culture, are much still to be around the great ones, but them culture every day. I fight against everything what can harm our cause, must although me put under the strictest restrictions. My total absence of any activity of which they call “illicit� activities, although is for the survival, considers that it is the fundamental reason for which they have not acted against me.

During my arrests and citations on the part of the Security of the State I always maintain forts interchanges with these officials, who obviously understand our reality, but the sense of obedience and the one to fulfill and so they have oriented and memorized not leave them or they allow to see beyond the political positions of the “historical leaders� and the lineamientos them that the National Direction of the Counterintelligence dictates to them.

I have really lived intensely the political opposition in my country, mainly in recent years. Numerous they have been the realized routes, visited places and sharing moments that will be historical, although for it has had to pass very many hunger, with the broken shoes, sleeping several days in terminals of omnibus and railroads.  In all these andares I have shared with many leaders, also with many political and social prisoners and their relatives and for that reason it is that I can assure categorically that we must mature more very many, we must be known by all the society and mainly to make us credible.  

With deep indignation I received the news that Cuba had been reelecta by three new years in the Council of Human rights, of the United Nations. How could that happen? Whereupon cynicism acts the diplomats of those countries that voted in favor of the Cuban Government, when to Antúnez almost the life next to other brothers goes away to him protesting the rights of our town, as he is the one to have a worthy house, among others things.

With pain we observed the amount of personalities that as a trencito has marched past by Cuba, including many presidents and until North American Congressmen and we asked ourselves: Where they were those people when to Monet, Yordi, Ichi, Raudel, Abel and other many brothers put prisoner unjustly? No has had the amiability to meet with some representative of the dissidence, to know our reality, like which they in their own countries live.

In this world that has been called on to us to live we cannot less than to feel it more jeopardize us with our fight and to try to solve the problem we ourself. And it attends the right to receive any aid that offers, if they to arrive at the power used all the methods had and by having, including the armed warfare and the support us, even economic of governments like the one of Costa Rica. Then, they accuse why us of mercenary, when some organization or people to whom we appreciated much like Jadir Hernandez, White Enrique, Viviana Fernandez, Adolph Rivero, Jose Vilariño or Angelica Blackberry, among others, sends a modest aid to us to continue our work.  If not outside by people like them, really we were askking for alms, because in addition they deny the access to a worthy work with which we more or less pruned to subsist.

Our opposition must change, each movement or political party does not have to hope instructions of anybody to work, each has its programmatic platform and its political project by which they were created, there they are the cases of Party 30 of November, the Cuban Party of Orthodox Renovation and sinfín well great of organizations.  The objective of the political organizations of the opposition cannot be to meet to commemorate historical dates, where their members fight a photo at all costs, for its file of refugee. We know that it is almost the unique way that has left us, the one of the political refuge, but he is painful to see fighters like Néstor Rodriguez Louvain, who resisted to leave the country all the life and now she is humiliated to him denying the exit to him, when she get ready to make use of her. And the worse thing, than with its exit finishes its length battling, because those that leave, are annulled politically and been a meager minority those that have managed to stay in the fight.

We must insert to our opposition in the social life of the country, so that if is going to us to arrest that it is in a Concert hall, in a Gallery of Art, a Theater, sites where many people, intellectuals go including, and we pruned to make us visible, but for that we must cultivate to our activists in a worthy conduct and is transparent. The attitude is really embarrassing decomposed, vulgar and until obscene that assumes some brothers of fight at certain moments.

Our leaders must of being example in everything, in their personal life, social and political. The degeneration degree cannot be included/understood in which some opponents fall when they receive certain economic support from the outside.  He is hard to observe certain realities as the resources are often manipulated and as they play with the money of the North American contributors to impose political wills and positions and if somebody commits the sin to criticize them, since the super ones are chosen, which falls to you above is a gale.

Often I observe certain the news that are published in the outside and horrified I read, that in spite of the international pressure, condemn to the jail brother determining. Nevertheless, when hurgamos and we investigated well on the case, nothing has to do with a net political action and the worse thing of the case is that the town is observing and fits the question to us:  They are to these leaders the ones that we want?  It is really difficult east world, you cannot be imagined the things that happen in house, is a pitched battle against we ourself.

Our opposition must change the approach, to implement new strategy if it wants to go out the row of the losers in which the world has located to us. Only thus, we will happen of minorities to majorities, as Jose said Engineer, after the triumph.
